Notary Ninjas Connect
One integration layer for remote notarization, mobile notary, apostille, document analysis, AI-assisted workflows, business systems and ChatGPT.
We are building a secure integration platform that will allow businesses, software developers and AI assistants to connect directly with Notary Ninjas workflows. The goal is simple: when a customer, employee, tenant, client or software system needs a document reviewed, quoted, scheduled, notarized, apostilled or routed to a notary, the process should be able to begin from the system where the work is already happening.
Bring notarization into the workflow instead of forcing the workflow to leave for notarization
A partner system, website, mobile app or AI assistant will be able to identify a need, request a quote, create a secure session, send the signer into the appropriate workflow and receive structured status updates when the work moves forward.
From no-code links to full headless API access
Not every partner has a development team. The platform is being designed so a small law office and a large software company can use the same Notary Ninjas infrastructure at different levels of technical depth.
1. Hosted Smart Links
A business creates a secure Notary Ninjas link and sends it to the customer. No custom development is required.
- Pre-filled signer details
- Partner reference number
- Service type and billing rules
- Status tracking
2. Embedded Widget
A Notary Ninjas booking component can live inside the partner's own website, portal or application.
- Embedded booking
- Custom partner branding
- Quote and availability UI
- Session status component
3. Headless API
Larger organizations can create and manage workflows directly through authenticated API requests.
- Sessions
- Signers
- Documents
- Quotes
- Availability
- Status
4. AI and ChatGPT
A conversational assistant can recognize a notary-related need and, with the user's authorization, invoke Notary Ninjas tools.
- Document triage
- Quote requests
- Availability checks
- Booking actions
- Status retrieval
From an uploaded document to a remote notary workflow inside the conversation
The planned ChatGPT integration will expose specific Notary Ninjas capabilities as tools. The assistant can use read-only tools for analysis, quotes and availability, while actions that create, cancel or transmit information into a session should require clear user authorization.
Example conversation workflow
Planned ChatGPT / MCP tool set
analyze_notarization_requirement
Analyze whether a document appears to contain a notarial certificate or other indicators that notarization may be relevant. This is triage, not legal advice.
get_notary_quote
Return an estimated price based on the selected service, number of signers, notarial acts, witnesses and partner pricing rules.
check_remote_notary_availability
Return current or scheduled availability without creating a booking.
create_notary_session
Create a real session after user authorization and return a session ID, status and secure continuation link.
get_notary_session
Retrieve payment, document, scheduling, assignment and completion status for an authorized session.
cancel_notary_session
Cancel an eligible session after the user confirms the action.
A document can move from another connected system into the notary workflow
The most useful AI workflow is not just opening Notary Ninjas. It is connecting the systems the user already uses, then invoking Notary Ninjas when notarization becomes relevant.
Email to Notary
A user could ask an AI assistant to find a document in a connected email account, review it and start a Notary Ninjas workflow if the document appears to require a notarial act.
Cloud File to Notary
A user could select a document from a connected cloud storage provider and authorize the assistant to pass the necessary document into a new Notary Ninjas session.
A clean API over the same Notary Ninjas backend
The web app, iPhone app, partner integrations and AI integrations should not each invent their own workflow. The development goal is one secure backend API with multiple authorized clients.
Example session request
POST /api/v1/sessions
Authorization: Bearer nn_live_xxxxxxxxx

Planned endpoints and platform capabilities
The exact endpoint names may evolve, but the API is being designed around stable business resources rather than exposing internal PHP implementation details.
Sessions
POST /v1/sessionsGET /v1/sessions/{id}POST /v1/sessions/{id}/cancelCreate, retrieve and manage remote notary sessions.
Documents
POST /v1/sessions/{id}/documentsPOST /v1/documents/analyzeSecure document upload and controlled document analysis.

The partner should not have to keep asking us what happened
When a session changes, Notary Ninjas can send a signed event back to the partner. This keeps property-management systems, case-management platforms, CRMs and custom business applications synchronized.

Planned event types
Delivery controls
- Signed webhook payloads
- Delivery history and HTTP response logging
- Automatic retry with backoff
- Manual webhook replay
- Per-environment webhook secrets
The integration should understand more than “book a notary”
We are designing Notary Ninjas Connect around structured workflows so a partner can request an outcome instead of manually assembling every individual step.
Document Analysis
Identify likely document type, possible notarial certificate language, signer count, page references and other workflow signals. Automated analysis should be presented as assistance, not a legal determination.
Workflow Templates
Partners can use standardized workflows for affidavits, rental agreements, seller packages, powers of attorney, corporate forms, loan packages and other repeatable use cases.
Smart Routing
The same request layer can eventually route into remote notary, mobile notary, apostille support or another document-service workflow based on service selection and availability.
Different organizations need different ways to pay
The API should support the same business workflow with multiple billing arrangements so a partner can choose the model that matches its customer relationship.
Every Notary Ninjas request should map back to the partner's own record
A law firm may use a case number. A property manager may use a lease ID. A title company may use a closing file number. That identifier can travel through the entire Notary Ninjas workflow and return in API responses and webhooks.

Designed to be safe to test and difficult to misuse
Sandbox
Test keys, simulated payments, fake completion events and safe integration testing without creating real transactions.
Scoped Keys
Separate test and live credentials with permissions such as sessions:read, sessions:write and billing:read.
Idempotency
Retry-safe POST requests so a timeout does not accidentally create duplicate sessions or duplicate charges.
Developer Docs
Quick starts, cURL examples, webhook testing, SDK examples, error references and versioned changelogs.
Document workflows require more than a public API key
The integration layer is being planned with separate authentication, authorization, audit and document-handling controls. Partners should only receive access to the resources and actions that their account is authorized to use.
- Separate test and production credentials
- Permission scopes and least-privilege access
- Encrypted transport over HTTPS
- Signed webhook verification
- Request IDs and API audit logs
- Rate limiting and abuse controls
- Document access restricted to authorized workflow participants
- Session document deletion aligned with Notary Ninjas retention policy and legal recordkeeping requirements
Important workflow distinction
AI-assisted document analysis may identify indicators that notarization could be relevant, but it is not a substitute for legal advice and should not make unsupported legal conclusions about whether a particular document must be notarized.
Eligibility for remote notarization can depend on the document, jurisdiction, receiving party, signer circumstances, notary authority and other requirements. The final workflow may require additional review or an in-person alternative.
Sensitive actions, including creating a live booking, transmitting a document or cancelling a session, should be clearly presented to the user before execution.
Who could integrate with Notary Ninjas Connect?
The same API can support very different industries because the core resources remain the same: customer, document, service, quote, session, status, payment and completion.
Law Firms
Create affidavit, verification, settlement, authorization and client document workflows from case-management systems.
Property Management
Launch lease, guaranty, rental agreement and tenant document workflows from property-management platforms.
Real Estate and Title
Coordinate seller packages, deeds, closing documents and signing requests using partner file numbers.
HR and Employers
Route eligible employee declarations, authorizations and document-execution requests from HR systems.
SaaS Platforms
Add notarization as an embedded service without building an independent notary network and workflow stack.
International Document Services
Create apostille and document-authentication workflows with status milestones and shipment coordination.
Connect to workflow platforms without requiring a custom engineering project
Beyond direct API access, the roadmap includes no-code and low-code connectors so businesses can trigger Notary Ninjas from common business events.
The partner can stay in front while Notary Ninjas powers the workflow
For approved business integrations, embedded and hosted flows can support partner-specific branding and configuration while preserving required Notary Ninjas, notary, provider and legal disclosures.
Acme Property Management Notary Service
How we plan to build this without destabilizing the current app
The integration layer should be introduced in phases. The existing web and mobile workflows remain important production clients, while the new API becomes a controlled layer around core services.
Phase 1: Core API Foundation
Versioned API routes, authentication, session resources, external reference IDs, validation, request IDs, idempotency and standardized error responses.
Phase 2: Business Integrations
Quotes, availability, documents, webhooks, billing models, developer dashboard, test environment and partner access controls.
Phase 3: Embedded Experiences
Hosted smart links, embedded booking widget, status component, white-label options and partner-specific workflow templates.
Phase 4: ChatGPT / AI Integration
MCP-based tools for document triage, quotes, availability, session creation, session status and cancellation with appropriate user authorization.
Phase 5: Expanded Service API
Mobile notary dispatch, apostille lifecycle, business reporting, automation connectors, SDKs and enterprise features.
